This hotel is in the heart of Earl’s Court in London, a period Victorian 6-storey double-terraced building.
The redevelopment of this building underwent significant modification which involved rationalisation of all bedrooms including a discrete rear garden basement extension. Our involvement included planning, heritage, architectural as well as full interior design services.
The decor pays homage to the building's Victorian roots & relies heavily on a series of ornate panelled surfaces from reception, to lounge & through to circulation & bedrooms.
The project was completed in the summer of 2025.
Rather than a direct entry into reception, we designed the arrival to extend through layered thresholds – via a swathe of period wall, ceiling panelling, secret flush doors & controlled sightlines – to reveal the space gradually towards the reception lounge space. This introduces moments of pause, allowing the transition from city to interior to slow, relaxation & settle.
